To supervise the workshop, ensure trucks are properly maintained and repaired on time, and reduce unnecessary breakdowns, costs and repeat repairs.

Transport Manager
Plan and supervise daily workshop activities.
Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on time.
Monitor breakdowns, repairs and job cards from opening to completion.
Ensure mechanics have the required tools, parts and information to complete jobs.
Check the quality of repairs before trucks are released.
Maintain proper records of repairs, spare parts and vehicle history.
Monitor repeat repairs and identify the root cause of problems.
Coordinate with Transport and Tracking teams to minimise vehicle downtime.
Prepare simple daily and weekly workshop reports.
Suggest ways to improve workshop efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
Ensure workshop safety and proper housekeeping.
Ensure mechanics perform their tasks per required time.
Computer knowledge is a must; good knowledge of Excel is an advantage.
Mechanical knowledge and understanding of heavy commercial vehicles.
Workshop experience is an advantage, but fresh graduates with the right attitude may also be considered.
Good leadership, communication and follow-up skills.
Ability to work under pressure and make practical decisions.
