Position Overview
WAYD Limited is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Project Management Intern (Fresh Graduate) with a background in the technical built environment to support our team across contract bidding, site coordination, contractor works, office administration, and green building consulting. This role bridges technical drawing/costing verification, tender package assembly, site supervision, and sustainability data tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Bidding & Tender Management
- Opportunity Sourcing: Monitor procurement portals, tender notices, and client requests for Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) notices.
- Tender Package Assembly: Compile statutory compliance documents, tax clearance certificates, company profiles, staff CVs, and technical methodology sections for bids.
- Proposal Submission: Format technical proposals, verify BOQ and fee schedules, and ensure error-free, on-time bid submissions.
Building Contractor Works & Site Operations
- On-Site Coordination: Accompany project leads on site visits to observe contractor works, verify progress against project schedules, and take daily site log notes.
- Quality & Quantity Support: Assist in reviewing architectural/engineering drawings, verifying material takeoffs, and checking Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
Office Administration & Document Control
- Office & Registry Management: Oversee daily office workflows, manage incoming/outgoing correspondence, handle phone/email inquiries, and maintain a structured digital and physical filing system.
- Portal & Compliance Maintenance: Update statutory registrations, portal filings (e.g., BRELA, PDPC, CRB), client action logs, and vendor registries. nafasi za kazi
- Meeting & Logistics Support: Coordinate internal and client meeting schedules, arrange room bookings/travel logistics, prepare agenda packs, and write formal meeting minutes.
Sustainability & Environmental Management
- Green Building Data Tracking: Collect baseline energy, water, and materials data for EDGE green building certification assessments and sustainability audits.
Target Qualifications & Competencies
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma (graduated within the last 12–18 months) in:
- Architecture
- Quantity Surveying / Building Economics
- Civil / Structural / Building Services Engineering
Technical & Software Skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or ArchiCAD (is an added advantage).
- Familiarity with Revit/BIM or MS Project is a plus.
Key Attributes
- Solid foundation in reading architectural/structural drawings and interpreting specifications or BOQs.
- Strong administrative discipline, multi-tasking abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Swahili.
Equipment Requirement
Applicants must have a working personal computer/laptop for the initial period; a company-issued computer/laptop will be provided upon full onboarding.
Remuneration & Review Structure
- Months 1–3 (Probation & Review Period): TZS 300,000 per month.
- Months 4–12 (Post-Review Period): TZS 500,000 per month, subject to satisfactory performance review at 3 months.
