Project Accountant - The Salvation Army

About the Role
The Project Accountant will ensure the effective, transparent, and accountable financial management of all Salvation Army Tanzania development projects. This is a Full-Time position based in Dar es Salaam.
Profile Requirements
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 2 years of NGO experience.
Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance.
Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage financial compliance for assigned projects.
Enter supplier invoices into NetSuite and process payments.
Create, manage, and clear project advances.
Post income, expenses, and maintain accurate project ledgers.
Conduct bank reconciliations.
Payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Prepare and monitor project budgets and variances.
Prepare internal and donor financial reports.
Support audits and project closures.
Participate in project review meetings and trainings.
