Lifting Engineer

LIFTING ENGINEER
INDUSTRY- OIL AND GAS
HR WORLD on behalf of our reputable client we are looking for a Lifting Engineer who will be responsible for managing day to day lifting operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Be responsible for managing day-to-day lifting operations.
• Plan, organize, supervise, and liaise closely with sub-contractors and operation teams on all ongoing lifting activities.
• Conduct routine checks and inspections of works on site to ensure compliance with authorities' and client's requirements
• Test materials and components used in buildings, structures, and machinery.
• Review project safety (eg. lifting plans, etc.)
• Ensuring all relevant lifting equipment performance, certification, and condition data are recorded accurately for input into the Company’s data recording system.
• Defining standards for and participating in the monitoring and assessment of lifting operations
• Contributing in conjunction with HSE Dept. to the Site’s safety effectiveness by recommending improvements in procedures and work practices. Promote a continuous improvement culture within the team
• Adhere to the Company’s Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures, and standards
• Providing technical advice on matters about lifting operations deviations or non-compliance
• Providing support to Maintenance Teams as necessary in the detail and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities on all lifting equipment
• Any other duties assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
  
  

*QUALIFICATIONS;*

• Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3 - 4 years of relevant work experience in the construction/Oil and gas industry
• Level 3 Diploma in Maintenance Engineering Technology or Level 3 Diploma in Building Services Engineering. Or Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Lift Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to use a wide range of tools and instruments.
• A good understanding of health and safety issues.
• Good IT skills.
• Good communication skills
