Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd is seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to support operations at Azam Inland Container Depot (AICD).
Location
Azam ICD, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Key Responsibilities
Process and verify vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and timely.
Prepare and process electronic transfers, cheques, and other vendor payments.
Create and manage Freight Orders (FO) and Forwarding Order & Settlement Documents (FWSD).
Maintain proper financial records and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulations.
Support stock taking and inventory control for AICD machinery spare parts and related materials.
Resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting or accounts payable functions.
Experience in logistics, transport, shipping, ICD, or related operations will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems.
