Assistant Manager - Treasury FX Trader

Reporting line: Head – Treasury

Job purpose
To deliver FX trading income and volume targets through active execution of spot, forward and derivative transactions, while managing market risk within approved limits and supporting Treasury’s overall revenue objectives.

Duties

Execute FX spot, forward and derivative transactions in the interbank market.
Deliver assigned FX trading income and volume targets.
Work closely with FX Sales to convert client flows into profitable trading opportunities.
Manage daily FX positions within approved NOP, counterparty and dealer limits.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international market counterparties.
Monitor market developments, liquidity conditions and currency trends to support trading decisions.
Identify and manage foreign exchange risk arising from market movements and client flows.
Ensure all trading activity complies with regulatory requirements, internal policies and approved procedures.
Prepare Treasury reports and market updates as required by the Head of Treasury.


Requirements

Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Accounting or a related field.
Strong understanding of FX spot, forwards, swaps and derivatives.
Good knowledge of market risk, NOP limits, counterparty limits and Treasury controls.
Strong analytical, execution and relationship management skills.
ACI Dealing Certificate is required.


Work experience

3–5 years’ experience in Treasury, FX trading, money markets or financial markets.

A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environments in an independent manner.
