Job Summary
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is seeking a motivated and skilled Control and Automation Technician to join their Manufacturing team in Mbeya, Tanzania. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical and automated machinery within the plant. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Controller and will play a key role in troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Perform thorough troubleshooting and repair of all electrical and automated machinery and related controls.
Ensure maximum machine uptime through continuous engineering response improvement.
Drive loss elimination initiatives across all production lines.
Oversee and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly condition monitoring activities are conducted.
Ensure contractors working on electrical equipment adhere to all safety rules and regulations within the plant.
Verify that all machine guards, safety switches, and status indicators on equipment are in place and functional.
Maintain equipment panels, ensuring they are numbered, clean, dry, and properly closed at all times.
Ensure all power and control cables are clean, terminals securely fastened, properly labeled, and neatly arranged in cable trays.
Confirm that all breakers and fuses are adequately rated and set, and that no vibrating or humming contactors or relays are present in panels.
Ensure all filters are clean and panel cooling AC units are operational.
Verify that all electric motors are numbered and labeled, with labels corresponding to manual identifications and panel contactors.
Maintain a physical record of all electric motors, detailing any issues and their resolutions.
Execute routine electrical/automation maintenance on all equipment as scheduled.
Document and sign off on all maintenance activities performed.

Experience in interpreting policies, procedures, and systems in manufacturing.
