Credit Manager / Team Leader / Product Manager

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced professional for a hybrid role responsible for credit approval, risk management, team leadership, and product development. The role will work closely with senior management and IT teams to enhance credit decisions, improve portfolio performance, and drive innovative lending solutions.

Responsibilities:

Approve loans within delegated authority and recommend high-value applications to the credit committee.
Develop, maintain, and improve credit scoring models and underwriting policies.
Monitor and manage portfolio performance including risk indicators and loan quality.
Supervise and lead loan officers and collections teams, setting targets and monitoring performance.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve productivity and efficiency.
Lead the design, development, and pricing of new and existing credit products.
Analyze portfolio data and market trends to enhance product performance and risk strategies.
Collaborate with IT teams to improve loan management systems, workflows, and automation processes.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, KYC/AML requirements, and regulatory standards.
Support strategic decision-making through data analysis and reporting.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in credit, risk, or lending operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of microfinance and/or digital lending credit cycles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
