Applications are invited from qualified, energetic, proactive, and dynamic Tanzanians to fill the following vacant position.Position: Fitter IrrigationDepartment: FIELDS SERVICESOffice Location: Moshi, KilimanjaroReporting To: Irrigation Development ManagerNumber of vacancies: 1Job Summary Statement:Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation pipelines and related water conveyance systems to ensure reliable water distribution, operational efficiency, and minimal downtime across the estate.Key Performance Areas (Duties & Responsibilities):Carry out daily maintenance and repair of irrigation mainlines and field pipelines across the estate.Participate in irrigation projects involving the installation and fitting of pipes and associated fittings.Support the construction, maintenance, and improvement of water conveyance infrastructure.Inspect pipeline systems and identify faults, leaks, or damages requiring repair.Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and innovations in pipeline networks and water conveyance systems.Adhere to company safety standards and procedures while performing duties.Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Academic Qualifications:Certificate in Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Level III or an equivalent qualification from VETA or another institution recognized by NACTVET.Work Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in pipeline installation and maintenance.Experience working with PVC, HDPE, and AC pipelines, particularly large-diameter pipes (up to 500mm), and compression fittings will be an added advantage.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.Ability to read and interpret technical and industrial drawings.Proficiency in the use and proper handling of mechanical tools and equipment.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity, honesty, and accountability.Good time-management and problem-solving skills.Behavioural Competencies:Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and the ability to work extended hours when required.Strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.Alignment with TPC Core Values.Closing Date: Saturday, 15 Aug 2026Mode of Application:We have an e-Recruitment system.
