Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and result-driven General Manager to lead and oversee both our Tilapia cage Fish Farming Farm and our Aquafeed Manufacturing plant. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and overall business growth.
Job Location
Mwanza, Tanzania
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement business strategies to achieve production, profitability, and growth targets.
Oversee tilapia cage farming operations including stocking, feeding, growth monitoring, harvesting, and fish health management.
Ensure adherence to biosecurity, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
Monitor production performance indicators including survival rates, FCR, growth rates, and harvest planning.
Optimize farm productivity and operational efficiency.
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
Support sales growth and customer relationship management for both fish and feed products.
Monitor cost control, profitability, and operational expenditure.
Strengthen supplier relationships and procurement systems.
Provide leadership and direction for both fish farming and aquafeed operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Animal Nutrition, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Agribusiness, Engineering, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Finance or related commercial industries or a related field.
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in aquaculture, aquafeed manufacturing, or integrated agribusiness operations.
