Group Financial Controller

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and strategic Group Financial Controller to lead financial governance, reporting, and performance across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the Group.
Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely group consolidated financial statements across all entities.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, group accounting policies, and local GAAP requirements across jurisdictions.
Manage group month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring discipline and adherence to timelines.
Review and validate country-level financial results to ensure accuracy, consistency & actionable insights.
Design, implement & strengthen group-wide financial controls and governance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory & corporate governance requirements in all operating countries.
Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating group & statutory audits.
Identify financial control gaps and risks, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Oversee tax compliance across all entities, ensuring timely filing and adherence to local regulations.
Monitor regulatory changes and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize the Group’s tax position.
Provide leadership and oversight to Country Finance Managers and finance teams across multiple locations.
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing, geographically distributed finance team.
Standardize finance policies, processes, and reporting practices across all entities.
Drive finance transformation initiatives including system improvements, automation, and process optimization.
Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of finance systems and reporting tools.
Identify and assess financial, operational, and compliance risks across the Group.
Act as a key advisor to the Group CFO, providing insights on financial performance, trends, and risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is required.
MBA or Master’s degree in Finance is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10+ years’ progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or group-level role.
Proven experience in multi-entity, multi-country environments.
Strong track record of leading and developing finance teams.
Deep expertise in IFRS, group consolidation, and financial governance.
Experience in hospitality, travel, or service-based industries is preferred.
