We offer a range of retail, business, corporate and investment banking, wealth management products and services.Job SummaryThe Retail Banking Business Performance Manager & Product Development (VP) is responsible for driving retail business growth, profitability, and efficiency through rigorous performance management, analytics, and the development of competitive retail products. The role ensures alignment of retail strategy with NBC Bank overall business objectives, while delivering customer-centric, compliant, and commercially viable products across all retail channels.Job DescriptionBusiness Performance Management (30%)Lead end-to-end performance management for the Retail Banking business, including assets, liabilities, non-funded income, customer acquisition, and portfolio quality.Develop and monitor retail KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and management reports for Executive Management and Board consumption.Track performance against budget, STP, and strategic initiatives, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions with business owners.Partner with Branch Banking, Digital Banking, and Sales teams to drive productivity, activation, and growth of retail customers.Provide insights through data analytics to support decision-making, business optimization, and resource allocation.Product Development & Management (25%)Lead the design, development, review, and enhancement of retail banking products including deposits, lending, payments, cards, agency banking, and digital products.Ensure product offerings are customer-centric, competitive, profitable, and aligned with market trends and customer needs.Own the product lifecycle management process from concept, pricing, approval, launch, performance tracking, to review and exit.Coordinate product approvals with internal governance structures, including risk, compliance, legal, finance, and ALCO where applicable.Drive innovation and digitization of retail products to support customer experience and operational efficiency.Financial & Commercial Oversight (25%)Ensure profitability and cost efficiency of retail products and initiatives through pricing, cost management, and revenue optimization.Monitor product and business performance to ensure achievement of revenue, margin, and cost targets.Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes for Retail Banking.Stakeholder Management (10%)Act as a key liaison between Retail Banking, Finance, Operations, IT, Compliance, and Digital teams.Provide clear business direction and performance guidance to branches, sales teams, and service centers.Support Executive Management with strategic insights, presentations, and performance updates.Governance, Risk & Compliance (10%)Ensure all retail products and performance initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk appetite.Monitor product performance and portfolio trends to proactively manage risk and ensure sustainability.Support internal and external audits by providing accurate performance data and product documentation.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Retail assets and liabilities growthRevenue and non-funded income performanceCustomer acquisition and activation metricsProduct profitability and uptakeCost-to-income ratio (Retail)Portfolio quality and risk indicatorsTimely delivery of product initiativesKey Competencies & SkillsStrong business and financial acumenAdvanced analytical and performance management skillsProduct development and lifecycle management expertiseStrategic thinking and execution focusStakeholder and people management skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Equivalent Qualifications5 years’ experience in Retail Banking, Finance, Business Performance, or Product Management, with at least 3 years at a management level.QualificationsAnalytical Thinking - Advanced (Meets all of the requirements)Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas - Business, Commerce and Management StudiesCommercial mindset - Senior (Meets all of the requirements)Customer Excellence - Service Management (Meets all of the requirements)Digital familiarity (Meets all of the requirements)Experience in a similar environment at management levelLeading people - Leadership level (Meets all of the requirements)Openness to change (Meets some of the requirements and would need further development)
