HSSEQ Coordinator
INDUSTRY: OIL & GAS

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a competent and proactive HSSEQ Coordinator. This role is responsible for coordinating the implementation of an integrated HSSEQ Management System, ensuring compliance with company HSSEQ guidelines, applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and promoting a strong health, safety, security, environmental, and quality culture across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of HSSEQ guidelines, policies, plans, and programmes across all sites.
Provide ongoing HSSEQ implementation support to depots, sites, employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and manage major hazards across business activities.
Conduct regular HSSEQ site inspections to ensure compliance with HSSEQ requirements.
Monitor and follow up on Hearts & Minds action plan implementation.
Coordinate annual reviews and updates of risk assessments with process owners.
Ensure emergency response plans are maintained, updated, and regularly tested.
Support Site Managers in emergency response planning and exercises with neighbouring industries.
Maintain legal registers, compliance records, HSSEQ inspection schedules, and training records.
Coordinate monthly HSSEQ inspections, incident reporting, investigations, and database updates.
Deliver HSSEQ induction and awareness training for employees and contractors.
Participate in risk assessments, control of work activities, and technical projects.
Maintain contractor safety files and ensure Contractor Management and Permit to Work processes are effectively implemented.
Prepare HSSEQ reports, KPI reports, incident summaries, and non-conformance action plans.
Maintain HSSEQ documentation, toolbox database, and document control processes.
Coordinate procurement and issuance of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensure effective utilization of HSSEQ management software.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Oil & Gas Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in operations, technical, or HSSEQ roles. Experience in the Oil & Gas industry will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Internal Auditor qualification will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of national HSSEQ legislation and management systems.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to build collaborative relationships and lead without authority.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimum supervision.
High level of integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
