Halotel is Hiring: Human Resource Officer

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resource Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding of new employees.
Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of employee records and HR databases.
Administer HR-related payments, including terminal benefits and statutory deductions.
Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and labor regulations.
Handle employee relations issues and respond to staff queries professionally.
Enforce company policies and procedures across the organization.
Assist in performance management processes, including staff appraisals and evaluations.
Coordinate training and development programs for employees.
Prepare HR reports, documentation, and maintain proper filing systems.


Core Competencies

Understanding of HR processes, payroll support, and employee lifecycle management.
Knowledge of labor regulations and statutory requirements.
Accuracy in handling employee records, payroll data, and reports.
Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to address employee concerns and provide practical HR solutions.
Proficiency in HR systems and standard office applications.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of experience in HR operations or administration (added advantage).
Basic knowledge of labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR best practices.
Understanding of payroll processes, including terminal benefits and mandatory deductions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and time management abilities.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle employee relations matters.
Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HR systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
