Epvate & Fortune International Consulting Ltd (EFIC) is a leading management consulting and HR consulting firm, offering comprehensive services including turn-around consulting, training, recruitment, research, digital information, outsourcing, and general consultancy. With headquarters at PSSSF Commercial Tower, 9th Floor, Sam Nujoma Road in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, EFIC is currently seeking a dedicated Logistic Documentation Officer on behalf of a client.

About the Role
The Logistic Documentation Officer will play a crucial role in managing and processing essential logistics documentation to ensure smooth import and export operations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of customs regulations and international trade procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, verify, and process all shipping and logistics documents, including Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, and other related documentation.
Ensure strict compliance of all import and export documentation with customs regulations and company policies.
Coordinate effectively with clearing and forwarding agents to facilitate seamless customs clearance and efficient document flow.
Prepare accurate customs declarations and all supporting documentation required for clearance processes.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all shipments, imports, exports, and logistics transactions.
Monitor and provide daily updates on the status of import shipments.
File, organize, and archive all logistics documentation meticulously for easy retrieval and to ensure compliance.
Track shipments diligently and ensure the timely processing of all logistics documentation.
Liaise proactively with customs authorities and other relevant stakeholders to resolve any documentation-related issues promptly.
Support the Finance Department by providing necessary shipping and logistics documents for payment processing and financial reconciliation.


Required Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for experience within a trading, retail, or electronics company.
Demonstrated knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, Sage, or other ERP systems, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Proven experience in inventory management, supplier payments, VAT, warranty provisions, and stock reconciliation.
