Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Millwright Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and the business and on a practical note will ensure activities in the Process plant Maintenance section are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Reporting to: Process Plant Maintenance Foreman
Duration: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
Field Level Risk Assessment completed accurately for every task assigned Minimum 1 PTO Completed each week
Team based Job Safety Analysis completed accurately for every task with a Standard Operating Procedure
Ensure work requirements are identified from request/work orders or equivalent and clarified/confirmed with appropriate parties or by site inspection
Ensure resources required to satisfy the work plan are identified, obtained and inspected for compliance with the job specifications
Ensure correct size, type and quantity of materials/components are determined, obtained and inspected for compliance with the job specifications
Ensure work is planned in detail including sequencing and prioritising and considerations made, where appropriate, for the maintenance of plan security and Capacity in accordance with system/site requirements
Weekly review of planned vs. actual compared to weekly & monthly plans in respective areas/sections
>90% Compliance to Mobile Equipment & Fixed Plant Maintenance schedule ensure 100% Compliance to Related Standard Operating Procedures in workplaces daily
Min. 1 On Job Coaching session conducted per week
Ensure 100% Compliance to agreed plans & schedules
Clear task assignment through asking questions to confirm understanding & agreement, provide task feedback on a daily basis duels
All Team members to have an IDP in place and >90% of development completed within planned timeframe- Based on Operation needs
100% of performance reviews completed accurately within given timeframe
Interpret technical drawings.
Perform engineering measurements.
Ensure normal performance and function of the equipment is ascertained by Consulting appropriate reference sources in accordance with work plan.
Fault finding is carried out in conjunction with others involved in, or affected by.
Work in accordance with Barrick/job requirements.
Valid conclusions about the nature and cause of the fault are reached from analysis of available evidence in accordance with the work plan.
Ensure proper repair and preventative maintenance in process plant Mechanical equipment/machines are maintained to achieve production and cost targets.
Provide accurate and timely feedback to Plant Section leader the condition that may affect functionality of equipment
Ensure parts and components are selected and replaced as required in accordance with specification and work plan.
Ensure final job inspection is performed and permits are relinquished as required in accordance with the work plan.
Ensure work area is cleared of waste, cleaned, restored and secured in accordance with Barrick safety standards / procedures
Ensure mechanical tools and equipment are maintained and stored in accordance with Barrick safety standards/ procedures.
Ensure work completion details are finalised in accordance with work requirements & Procedures
All Team members to have an IDP in place and >90% of development completed within planned timeframe- Based on Operation needs
100% of performance reviews completed accurately within given timeframe
Budget Expenditure not exceeded monthly and annually- Focus on Cost Saving Initiatives
100% of Project Records kept, filed & maintained daily Team members time 7 Attendance 100% managed & updated daily.
Handovers conducted at the start and end of every shift 100% accurately
100% Compliance to all required Operator appointments, 100% of reports accurately and correctly completed and submitted on time
100% of shift reports accurately & correctly completed and submitted on time
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Millwright Trade Certificate (red seal)
National Certificate in Millwright
Valid driving license
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
3 Years’ experience in similar role. Experience in mining industry is added as an advantage
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Computer literate in the Microsoft Package Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Good Communication Skills, English & Swahili
Demonstrates a high concern for health, safety and environment
