DCB Commercial Bank PLC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Officer, Infrastructure and Network Administration.
DCB Commercial Bank PLC is a fully-fledged retail and commercial bank in Tanzania. The bank offers banking services to individuals, microfinance, Small to Medium Sized Businesses (MSME), as well as large corporate clients. DCBBank has a wide branch network of over 8 branches, over 1000 DCBWakala Agents, and over 280 Umoja accounts with ATMs serving over 3 million customers across the country.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Officer, Infrastructure and Network Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bank’s MPLS Network and Data Centre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the Bank’s network and infrastructure environment, including MPLS, VPNs, routing, switching, virtualization, and system integrations.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, storage, network, and virtualization issues to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
Implement and coordinate infrastructure changes, system upgrades, and security patch deployment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Perform regular infrastructure and information security health checks to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the Bank’s technology environment.
Manage data backup processes and support disaster recovery activities to ensure business continuity and resilience.
Monitor business applications and infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and achievement of agreed service levels.
Participate in incident management processes, including escalation, root cause analysis, reporting, and implementation of corrective actions.
Develop and maintain infrastructure, security, and operational documentation aligned with enterprise architecture and governance requirements.
Support the implementation and integration of new products and systems, ensuring appropriate risk assessments and mitigation measures are undertaken.
Participate in Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and maintenance of continuity documentation.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum of three (3) years in network administration, infrastructure management, information security, or telecommunications, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
Good understanding of Internet Security and Traffic Governance.
Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (VMware), storage technologies, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
Practical experience working with networking and infrastructure solutions from vendors such as Huawei, Cisco, Dell EMC, Sophos, and Microsoft.
Strong technical knowledge of Routing and Switching technologies, including Dynamic Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGP), VPN technologies (IPSec Site-to-Site VPN and DMVPN), Firewalls, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and High Availability concepts.
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP, JNCIP, ITIL, or NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (SAN Specialist) will be an added advantage.
