Product Specialist – Shacman Trucks

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a Product Specialist – Shacman Trucks. This role is responsible for driving product strategy, market positioning, product lifecycle management, and technical-commercial support for the heavy truck portfolio, ensuring profitability, market competitiveness, and alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement product roadmaps for Shacman heavy trucks and tractor heads based on market trends, customer requirements, and OEM strategies.
Align product portfolio plans with regional and global business objectives.
Develop business cases for new products, vehicle configurations, and technical upgrades.
Support product ordering and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock availability across markets.
Coordinate with OEMs and relevant authorities to ensure compliance with certification, homologation, emissions, and importation requirements.
Conduct market research, customer segmentation, and competitor benchmarking activities.
Identify customer needs across fleet operators, logistics companies, mining operations, construction firms, and other specialized industries.
Translate customer and market requirements into product specifications and recommendations for OEMs.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, emissions standards, and vehicle safety requirements.
Coordinate product launch activities with sales, marketing, dealer networks, and OEM stakeholders.
Develop product positioning, pricing strategies, and value propositions to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
Manage product updates, lifecycle changes, technical enhancements, and product phase-out activities.
Act as the key liaison between sales, marketing, aftersales, supply chain, and OEM partners.
Support aftersales teams in developing service packages, maintenance programs, and technical training initiatives.
Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses and provide technical-commercial support for key customer opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in Product Management, Product Planning, Technical Sales, or Product Development within the heavy truck or commercial vehicle industry.
Strong knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle technologies including powertrains, chassis configurations, telematics, ADAS, and fleet management systems.
Knowledge of alternative powertrains including electric, LNG, CNG, hybrid, and hydrogen technologies.
Experience in fleet economics and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
Experience working with ERP and CRM systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
