National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) - Project Accounts Officer IIThe United Republic of TanzaniaMinistry of HealthNational Institute for Medical ResearchDate: 31st July, 2026PhD Attachment and Employment Positions BackgroundThe National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) is a corporate body established by an Act of Parliament No. 23 of 1979. Its mandate includes carrying out and coordinating medical research, promoting the use of research findings, and supporting the training of local personnel for scientific research into health problems.NIMR is currently collaborating with the Centre for Psychiatric Care in Copenhagen, Denmark, to implement the DIMENSION study (Digital Empowerment for Mental Health in Tanzania). Mental health disorders are a significant global health concern, particularly in low-income countries like Tanzania where they are often overlooked and underdiagnosed.
