Job Purpose
The role holder is primarily responsible for ensuring that the millers observe flour fortification quality standards. S/he is a detail-oriented professional responsible for the development and implementation of quality assurance activities in the field, the detection and resolution of the flour quality assurance issues. She/he will be required to be in the field most of the time
Job Qualifications / Experience
A Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as Nutrition, Food Science or any other related field
Professional certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) would be an added advantage. Good verbal and written communication skills to inform and educate employees, and also to file correct and accurate quality assurance reports with regulating agencies
Basic understanding of food science.
Sound knowledge of legal requirements and controls.
Assertive enough to have tough conversations with non-compliant mills (operators and owners) in a professional and empathetic manner.
Responsible in monitoring quality assurance data and leverage the information for action.
Lead training sessions with millers and potentially other parties on fortification awareness, GMP and other topics with curriculum developed by Responsible in conducting internal reviews or audits periodically and to ensure that quality assurance procedures are followed per policy and at the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager.
