Ranch Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Purpose: The role requires a deep understanding of animal husbandry, land management, and employee management.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage all farm assets, operations, and personnel, and train other workers on the farm.
Supervise the production and care of livestock and other farm animals.
Oversee the ranging process, including raising and birthing of all livestock.
Ensure livestock is raised to market standards and complies with government regulations.
Advise and purchase proper livestock for beef and other usage and implement quality standards.
Propose and implement proper equipment and supplies and organize maintenance of animal shelters and pastures.
Perform any other job as directed by management for the betterment of the ranch and employer business.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent work experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong leadership and qualification skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience with budgeting and financial management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Experience:
5+ years of ranch management experience.
