Job Advertisement: Waiter/Waitress at Bravo Coco BeachJob PurposeThe Restaurant Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering high-quality table service to guests by providing courteous, efficient, and professional food and beverage service in line with the Bravo Coco Beach restaurant’s premium service standards.The role focuses on guest satisfaction, accurate order taking, timely service, upselling, and maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere while complying with service, hygiene, and safety procedures.Business ScopeThe Restaurant Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for:Exceptional guest service and efficient table management.Accurate food and beverage order taking and timely delivery.Ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and service quality.Strict compliance with service Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and hygiene standards.Supporting sales through upselling and revenue enhancement.Seamless coordination with kitchen, bar, and other service teams.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Table ManagementWarmly greet guests and escort them to their assigned tables.Present menus, providing detailed explanations of dishes, daily specials, and current promotions.Accurately take food and beverage orders from customers, ensuring they are executed properly and delivered in a timely manner using POS systems.Provide attentive and professional service throughout the entire dining experience.Food & Beverage Service ExecutionServe food and beverages according to established service standards and timing.Verify food presentation and order accuracy before serving.Adhere to correct service sequences and etiquette.Efficiently clear tables and reset them for the next guests.Guest Experience & SatisfactionAnticipate guest needs and respond promptly to all requests.Regularly check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take immediate action to resolve any issues.Handle guest feedback and minor complaints courteously.Escalate complex issues to the Restaurant Supervisor as required.Ensure every guest has a positive and memorable dining experience.Sales Support & UpsellingActively promote menu items, daily specials, and add-ons.Practice suggestive selling techniques to increase the average spend per guest.Support ongoing promotional activities and special events.Maintain comprehensive product knowledge to confidently answer guest queries.Explain the preparation of various menu items, detailing ingredients and cooking methods.Present wine selections with appropriate glassware and pour wines for customers.Hygiene, Safety & ComplianceStrictly follow all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.Maintain the cleanliness of service stations and dining areas.Ensure personal appearance, hygiene, and dress code are representative of the establishment.Follow all safety procedures and responsible alcohol service policies.Support inspections and compliance requirements.Report any breakages to the manager immediately.Report any wear and tear of work areas to the manager.Assist with general cleanliness as needed.Coordination & TeamworkCoordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure a smooth service flow.Accurately communicate special requests and guest preferences.Support fellow service staff during peak periods.Foster teamwork and maintain positive working relationships.Receive and issue daily operational items in the Restaurant and service bar.Ensure cupboards are adequately stocked with items such as replacement cutlery and linen.Roll silverware, set up food stations, or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift.Cash Handling & ReportingPresent bills accurately and process payments correctly.Report any discrepancies or issues immediately.Support end-of-shift closing procedures as required.Perform any other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications & ExperienceEducationA Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field is advantageous.Experience2–4 years of experience in restaurant or F&B service roles.Experience in premium or fine-dining restaurant environments is preferred.Core CompetenciesExcellent guest service and communication skills.Strong food and beverage service knowledge.Proficiency in upselling and customer engagement.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong teamwork and adaptability.Effective time management and professionalism.Ability to work long and odd hours.How to ApplyTo be considered for this position, applicants are required to submit the following documents in an expression of interest to Bravo Coco:Curriculum vitae or resume that clearly outlines qualifications and experience.A cover letter highlighting your interest in the position and relevant skills.Copies of academic credentials.The deadline for submission of applications is May 23rd, 2026.Submissions should be sent via email to: recruitment@bravococo.co.tzApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
