Accountant
The accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, with a strong focus on accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, financial records, and financial reporting. The role will also support various finance and administrative activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and accurately record daily accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and process customer invoices and billing documents using SAP Business One.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders, sales orders, delivery notes, and other supporting documentation.
- Monitor customer payment terms, credit limits, and outstanding receivables.
- Prepare weekly accounts receivable reports and follow up on outstanding payments and advances.
- Process and reconcile credit and debit notes.
- Perform daily Z-report, bank, account, stock, and other financial reconciliations.
- Manage petty cash transactions, including documentation and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate financial records, files, and supporting documentation.
- nafasi za kaziSupport preparation and submission of VAT and withholding tax returns and follow up on regulatory requirements.
- Prepare prepayment schedules, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations.
- Upload payments to the online banking system for authorization.
- Support procurement, vehicle administration, warehouse operations, and other assigned finance and administrative activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable.
- CPA(T) or ACCA qualification.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using SAP ERP, preferably SAP Business One.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial procedures.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and data-entry skills.
