Accountant (Projects)

JITEGEMEEHOLDINGS COLD is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant (Projects) to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strategic financial planning, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Record Keeping: Recording all financial transactions, managing ledgers, and maintaining accurate financial data.
• Reporting: Preparing and publishing timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports on financial health.
• Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Taxation: Computing taxes, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
• Auditing: Performing internal audits, examining financial documents for accuracy, and ensuring compliance.
• Cash Flow & Budgets: Monitoring cash flow, preparing budgets, and managing income/expenditure.
• Financial Analysis: Analysing financial data to help management make informed decisions.
• Cost Management: Suggesting ways to reduce costs, improve profitability, and enhance revenue.
• Financial Planning: Assisting with financial forecasting, risk analysis, and strategic planning.

• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing invoices, payments, and collections.
• Payroll: Processing payroll and managing related tasks.
• Software Management: Using accounting software (like QuickBooks, SAP) and potentially implementing new systems.
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial policies, regulations, and standards.

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Accuracy: A flair for spotting numerical errors.
• Confidentiality: Protecting sensitive financial data.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certifications like CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is an added advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts, finance, or similar tasks.
