Cashier Job Description
Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To ensure all transactions run smoothly and maximize customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Invoicing all customers
Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
Collect payments whether in cash or credit
ajiraIssue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
Cross-sell products
Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
Prepare cash report on Daily, weekly and monthly basis
Any other assigned task
Education & Qualifications
Academic Background: Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a closely related field.
Technical & Math Skills: Strong basic mathematical capabilities and baseline accounting skills for reconciling balance sheets. High comfort level with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong verbal communication, absolute integrity when handling financial figures, and a problem-solving mindset.
