Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) through Global Fund Grants is looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals whom will work under contractual agreement to fill the following vacant positions:
NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS AND LEPROSY PROGRAM
Job Title: Central Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory Manager -1 Position
Location: CTRL Dar es Salaam
Reporting to: Head of Laboratory – CTRL
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Head of CTRL on planning, implementation and monitoring of all activities related to TB diagnostics
- Supervise and oversee technical functions of CTRL and zonal laboratories
- Monitor all patients’ results released from the laboratory in accordance to standards and procedures
- Identify staff training needs, training program and recommend to the head of CTRL
- Monitor all referral laboratories for the quality of services conjunction
- Any other duty as directed by head of CTRL
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in laboratory sciences
- At least 5 years of relevant TB laboratory diagnostics coordination
- Proven technical program management experience and knowledge on TB diagnostics.
- Basic computer skills
- Experience interacting with development partner
- Experience with management of TB commodities including supply chain management and its systems
- Age limit: 50 years
Terms of Employment: 3 years Contract (Renewable based on Performance and availability of funds)
