Onfon Microfinance is Hiring: Debt Collectors (Men Only)

Are you a results-oriented individual with a knack for negotiation and recovery? Onfon Microfinance is seeking three (3) committed and driven male Debt Collectors to become integral members of our dynamic team.

About the Role

As a Debt Collector at Onfon Microfinance, you will be at the forefront of our financial recovery efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to diligently follow up on overdue accounts and ensure the timely recovery of outstanding payments, contributing directly to the financial health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate contact with customers possessing overdue payments through strategic phone calls and essential field visits.
• Skillfully follow up and negotiate mutually agreeable payment arrangements.
• Efficiently recover outstanding debts in strict adherence to company policies and ethical guidelines.
• Meticulously maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
• Prepare comprehensive daily and weekly collection reports for management review.
• Collaborate effectively with the finance and credit teams to optimize collection strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Gender: Male applicants only.
• Education: A minimum Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in debt collection or customer service is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
• Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
• Attributes: Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet collection targets. Must be honest, disciplined, and results-driven.
• Languages: Fluency in Kiswahili is required. Proficiency in English is a significant added advantage.
