Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Computer, Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital payments, international money transfers or financial services management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage digital payment products, including NFC, QR payments, and e-commerce payment gateways.
  • Lead the operations and partnerships for cross-border remittances (IMT), ensuring regulatory compliance and internal coordination.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for IMT partners and oversee adherence to evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Manage digital investment portfolios and collaborate on the development of innovative financial solutions.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, commercial agreements, and SLAs to support product development and profitability.
  • Conduct market research and implement strategic initiatives to expand product reach and competitiveness.
  • Lead BTL and ATL marketing campaigns to drive cross-selling and upselling of financial service products.
  • Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to proactively manage risks in digital and financial services.
  • Provide regular performance reports and strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to drive innovation and enhance efficiency within the Financial Services Unit and Mixx by Yas.
  • Assist in staff training and upskilling on digital and financial products.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, regulatory meetings, and fintech discussions.
  • Stay current with global fintech trends and propose forward-looking digital and financial innovations.

  • Proven experience in managing product portfolios and driving revenue growth in a fast-paced financial technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian and regional financial services markets, including digital payments and compliance.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Mature with a strong sense of ownership to your role, highly self-motivated and leadership skills.
