TIB Development Bank Limited, a Development Finance Institution (DFI) wholly owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, is currently undergoing a comprehensive institutional transformation aligned with the Tanzania Development Vision 2050. As part of this transformation, through its subsidiary TIB Rasilimali Limited, the Bank aims to strengthen its role in capital markets, insurance, and investment advisory services.

Position Purpose

The Director General will be the principal executive officer responsible for strategic leadership, day-to-day management, and ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, regulatory compliance, and delivery of high-quality services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, present, and implement short, medium, and long-term strategic plans in line with Board approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines governing capital markets.
  • Oversee financial management, budgeting, revenue growth, cost control, and resource utilization.
  • Establish a robust risk management and internal control framework.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, brand building, and public representation of TIB Rasilimali Limited.
  • Support TIB Development Bank’s development financing role in Tanzania.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Academic Qualifications: A master's degree in Finance, Insurance, Economics, Business Administration (MBA), Banking, Investment, Accounting, Capital Markets, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least ten years of relevant work experience in financial services or capital markets. A minimum of eight years at senior management or executive level in a regulated financial institution.
  • Regulatory and Personal Requirements: Must meet ‘fit and proper’ requirements as prescribed by the CMSA with no history of bankruptcy, criminal conviction, or financial misconduct.
