Overview
Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) is a state-owned company which has been operating even before the liberation of the Insurance industry in 1996 and registered according to Insurance Act Cap.394 of the year 2009.
Job Title: Driver
Report to: Zonal Director
Job Purpose:
A multi-tasking driver performs driving duties attend the office and also act as the messenger. He provides a reliable and courteous transportation service to customers with safety a top priority,.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates assigned vehicle(Motorcycle) in a safe and courteous manner;
- Maintains defensive driving;
- Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside;
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets (log book), customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management;
- Performs minor maintenance tasks on the assigned vehicle(s) as required;
- Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions;
- Prepare tea and drinks to the top managers and guests and clean the utensils.
- Distribute daily newspapers to the concerned officers ajira
- Supply letters to concerned individuals and institutions.
- Performs other duties as may be required
Essential Qualifications Knowledge and Experience
A holder of Ordinary level certificate and, Possess driver’s license of class C or equivalent plus at least 3 years driving with a clean record, or Standard 7 education with class C driving license and at least 5 years driving experience with clean records.
REMUNERATION: Remuneration will be according to ZIC salary scale and other terms and conditions of ZIC.
