Job Purpose

To conduct prescribed in-house training courses for drivers and operators and monitor results of the training.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct training and provide on-job training to operators and drivers.
• Demonstrate machine management techniques to improve work safety and efficiency.
• Provide work guidance in accordance with work instructions as issued by customers.
• Conduct safety functions including performing monthly inspections of your workplace to identify any hazards.
• Ensure no employee operates machinery unless adequately trained and competent.
• Liaise with Safety, Health, and Environmental Representatives during inspections.
• Participate in accident and incident investigations when they occur.

• Ensure machinery checks are carried out by competent people and findings are recorded.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Provide administrative support including preparation of job training reports.
• Maintain excellent customer relations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of secondary education.
• Trainer certificate/driver instructor certificate.
• Defensive driving training certificate (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a driver trainer.
• Must be able to operate various machines/vehicles including truck, tractor, and grader.
• Valid driving license (Classes E, G, F).
• Familiar with Tanzania Road Traffic Act and its regulations.
