Our client CMC Motors Group Ltd (CMC) is a leading player in the East African motor industry headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya with distribution rights for Ford, Mazda, and Suzuki vehicles CMC also distributes UD, Eicher and MAN trucks and buses as well as New Holland tractors. The company is owned by CMC Holdings Ltd and was acquired by the Al-Futtaim Group (AFG) in 2014.
To support its objectives of transformation and sustained profitability, CMC is looking to recruit a high caliber, strategic, results-oriented, performance-driven, conscientious, passionate individual for the position of Financial Director in our Tanzanian subsidiary, Hughes Motors (Tanzania) Ltd.

Roles & Responsibilities

•Review, lead and develop the Finance team resources. 
•Implement AFG Policies, Procedures, and DOA. 
•Responsible for tax planning, coordination, management, and compliance. Should be able to implement relevant policies and procedures in that respect and also create a mechanism to monitor the management of government and regulatory requirements in that area. 
•Support the business achieve financial performance and objectives. 
•Responsible for working capital (with a key focus on inventory and receivables) and treasury management, funds availability, timely reporting to banks and AFG, timely corrective actions and tight control over finance cost. 
•Support business capital, funding and strategy requirements and manage risks. 
•Conduct process improvements leading to quantified cost savings and cost control and monitoring. 
•Provide support to the other finance vertical within CMC SSF by leveraging the cross-functional support.
•Provide leadership for Company’s Finance and Accounting Strategy, to optimize financial performance, bring about cost savings and revenue optimization and help the strategic growth of the Company.

•Measures to improve revenue potential and gross margins.
•Budgetary controls as per AFG & statutory guidelines.

Requirements

 

•Over ten (10) years of PQE finance experience and five (5) in senior management. (Experience in a big 4 Audit Firms will be an added advantage).
•Bachelor of Arts in Finance/Accounting and CPA (K) or ACCA
•Good Understanding of IFRSs and ERP systems. 
•Sound knowledge of MS Office (Advanced skills Excel / PPT preferred). 
•Good interpersonal & organizational skills. 
•Analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
