Role: Graduate Trainee

Reporting Line: Senior Accountant
Location: Head Office, Tanzania
Position Purpose
Ensuring timely and accurate collection of customer payments, maintaining proper records, and ensuring efficient credit management processes. The role also involves preparing accurate supplier payments, maintaining an organized filing system, and updating the fixed asset register in line with company policies.
Job Roles and Expectations
Key Result Area: Accounting and Financial Reporting
Support daily branch accounting and accurate recording of financial transactions in the ERP system.
Maintain accurate financial records, schedules, and filing systems for audit purposes.
Support month-end closing and preparation of branch financial reports.
Key Result Area: Reconciliation and Asset Management
Perform reconciliations for cash, customer, supplier, and inter-branch accounts.
Assist in inventory reconciliation, stock counts, and fixed asset management.
Assist in resolving accounting discrepancies and responding to audit queries.
Key Result Area: Receivables, Payables and Cash Flow
Assist in monitoring customer collections and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Support supplier payment processing and proper allocation of receipts and payments.
Key Result Area: Compliance, Coordination and Development
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and finance procedures.

Participate in training and continuously develop finance and accounting skills.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field.
Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
CPA/ACCA qualification in progress is an added advantage.
