Responsibilities
Ensure strict adherence to safe work practices, including attending mandatory safety courses and meetings, proper use of PPE, prompt incident/accident reporting, and compliance with all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant procedures and guidelines.
Maintain an appropriate and sufficient stock of drilling program supplies and safety gear at all times.
Assist with daily field drilling logistics by collaborating with geology technicians and geologists to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
Support geological tasks such as sampling, geological measurements, core sample marking, cutting, preparation, dispatch, and secure storage of drilling core/RC samples.
Ensure all drill samples are collected according to standard operating procedures, including accurate data recording, implementation of quality assurance/quality control practices, and proper documentation for sample dispatch and reconciliation.
Contribute to successful business outcomes through timely delivery of accurate geological data, high-quality samples, good core recovery, and prompt reporting of any irregularities to management.
Ensure prompt and accurate geological data entry and maintain an organized filing system.
Conduct pre-start checklists before beginning each shift or assigned task to ensure equipment readiness and task preparedness.

Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities in line with standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
Provide constructive feedback to peers and management to enhance performance and team effectiveness.
Assist with underground operations and tasks as needed to support the department.
Commit to continuous improvement and ensure achievement of departmental targets and deliverables.
Qualification Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Secondary Education
Certificate/Diploma in geological studies will be an added advantage
Hold a valid Tanzanian driving License and be able to drive manual gear vehicles (Mandatory).
Skills / Knowledge Requirements
Minimum 1 year of working experience in the mining industry in geology or exploration.
Previous underground mining experience in diamond drilling activities will be an added advantage.
Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal
