                HSE Manager

Location: Singida, Tanzania
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly experienced and proactive HSE Manager who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to foster a safe and sustainable working environment across all logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE strategies, policies, and procedures.
 - Ensure compliance with national occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
 - Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections, providing recommendations and corrective action plans.
 - Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures.
 - Oversee HSE training programs and awareness campaigns for employees at all levels.
 - Monitor and analyze HSE performance indicators, preparing regular management reports.
 - Collaborate with line managers to integrate HSE standards into daily operations.
 - Manage emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness.
 - Promote a strong HSE culture across the organization.
 - Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting of incidents as required.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
 - Professional certification in HSE (NEBOSH/OSHA/IOSH) is a strong advantage.
 - Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably in the logistics, transport, or industrial sector.
 - Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
 - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
 - High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
