We are offering an exciting position for a Human Resources and Administration Manager (HRAM) at SolidarMed Tanzania Country Office in Ifakara.

Place of Assignment

Ifakara, (Morogoro region) – with regular travels to the project sites in Malinyi and Ulanga Districts and Morogoro town.

Start of Contract

Start: February 2026

Duration

3 years fixed contract until 2028. This contract can, on mutual agreement, be extended beyond this date.

The Role

The post holder will support the Tanzania Country Office and the SolidarMed program with administration, logistics, procurement, personnel management, and limited financial management to support the Country Program Accountant. S/he will lead, with support from the Country Director, the further development of policies and procedures, including digital tools, that ensure adherence to national rules, regulations and laws and best Tanzanian and international practice, and to enhance the quality and impact of the country program.

Key responsibilities

Personnel management

  • Personnel files, Recruitment of new staff, including drafting of job description and active participation in interviews,
  • Payroll preparation,
  • Further development of selected documents and procedures with regard to SolidarMed Tanzania employees;
  • Drive forward the staff regulations as described in the Organization Handbook and in collaboration with the Country Director and the HRAM of SolidarMed Switzerland

Procurement

  • Prepare, order and monitor agreed purchases and services, ensure, in collaboration with the Country Director and the Project, that all procurements follow policy and procedures, support development/adherence to the agreed procedures in the Organization Handbook.
  • Active search for the most cost-efficient procurement processes and providers

Logistics & Security

  • Supervise driver(s) of the Country Office and ensure they carry out vehicle checks, ensure vehicles are taxed, insured and maintained,
  • Lead the organization of logistics for visitors.
  • Report any security concerns to the Country Director,
  • Further development of selected procedures in the Organization Handbook.

Office management

  • Fulfil the role of superior of support staff: security, cleaners, interns, virtual and physical filing systems, IT support, and office security
  • Ensuring uninterrupted availability of supplies and stationery, asset management,
  • Further development of procedures in the Organization Handbook.

Program support

  • Ensure all registrations are up to date.
  • Ensure the adherence of all SolidarMed Tanzania employees to all SolidarMed policies, especially the integrity policies, develop and implement interventions to prevent breech of these policies, (in close collaboration with the Country Director and the Focal Person Integrity of SolidarMed);
  • Actively take part and contribute to the programme management team meetings.
  • Actively engage in looking for new donors and stakeholders engagements.

Support to financial management and fundraising

  • Proactively search for possible donors; develop and regular update a structured overview, screen for calls for proposals and share any new call with the management team
  • Provide support to prepare payroll, salaries, and support audit process with the Program Accountant,

Your profile

To best fit into the active, committed and interdisciplinary team, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with the following qualifications:

  • A graduate in the relevant field (finance, accounts, procurement, business, administration, human resources) with relevant work experience (minimum five years) and professional network
  • Working experience in an international NGO
  • Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills to facilitate policy dialogue with government bodies.
  • Proactive initiative and out of the box thinking to improve processes and develop innovative tools to enhance the program efficiency and impact by proactively looking for solutions and presenting recommendations to the CD
  • Very good knowledge of Tanzania regulations regarding taxes and salaries
  • Very good computer skills
  • Good knowledge of English (written and oral)
  • Team-player with good inter-personal skills, willing to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment
  • Creative, open-minded, flexible, strategic thinker
