Job Purpose:

To control, manage and oversee the full operations of a designated warehouse. This includes but is not limited to the management and control of all outbound and inbound inventory movement, management and set up of all cyclical and periodic stock counts, the control of all packing and storage standards within the warehouse, control and management of OHS in relations to all warehouse personnel and visitors.

Key Accountabilities:

• Know and adhere to safety rules and regulations on site
• It is our collective responsibility to provide our client and their customer with quality service at all times while seeking continues improvement
• The management and control of all monthly stock takes and stock assessments.
• The management and control of designated warehouse to maintain and ensure ongoing audit compliance.
• The oversight planning and management of all affiliated regional sites or sales sites that relate to the designated warehouse, and the management of all resources.
• Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 5S housekeeping standards are always maintained
• Guide casual’s employees in various working areas and ensure that they adhere to all safety rules and regulations and other related policies.
• Ensure accurate receiving/dispatch and put away of stocks received from suppliers as per relevant documents / procedures both system (SAGE) and physically.
• Indicate receipt/dispatch dates on all received/dispatched items for purposes of exercising FIFO.
• Always ensure that stocks in the Warehouse are arranged by item and within marked areas and properly identified by use of row identification card.
• Perform receiving and dispatch duties as per the agreed SLA with the client to avoid any penalties
• Reconcile stocks through circle counts and ensure any variances are reported before the monthly stock take for adjustment
• Management and control of all packaging and storage standards within the warehouse.
• Ensuring the Warehouse is always tidy by way of observing neatness in stock arrangement and removing any unnecessary materials / items from your working area.
• Report to the supervisor areas that need attention eg (allocation of casuals to clean etc) to always keep you working area tidy or any repair work to machines, other equipment’s, or warehouse.
• Ensure no damage of stock, FLT's or other assets on site. Oversee any planned maintenance of equipment’s.
• Always follow all security measures.
• Ensure posting of all documents is done accurately and on time.
• Ensure accurate raising of Load Verification for all goods loaded.
• Any other jobs and responsibilities which are given to you by management
  
  

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

• University Degree
• Fluent in English & Swahili on both Written and Spoken
• At least 3 years warehousing or supply chain management experience
• Understanding of at least one ERP system
• IT Literate
• Ability to handle multi-tasks in multi-functional warehouses
• Excellent preparation and presentation of reports
• Good Customer Service Skills
• Working in a Telecommunication SKU warehouse for a minimum of 3 Years
• Working in a busy multiple SKU Warehouse for a minimum of 5 years
• A team player with good relations to customer and public management skills
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and with minimum supervision
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
