Mechanic - Heavy Duty

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client, we are seeking for a skilled and reliable Mechanic who will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs for light and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, and tire rotations.
  • Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle faults accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work conducted.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to complete repair jobs in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics when needed.
  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or any other related field from recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
