About Asante Africa Foundation

Mission Statement
To educate and empower the next generation of change agents, whose dreams and actions transform the future for Africa and the world.

About Asante Africa Foundation
Asante Africa Foundation is a global alliance of 4 member organizations (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and USA) focusing on rural youth education and skilling. We’ve been operating since 2006. Our team is composed of local implementation teams and globally guided Boards (KE, TZ, UG, USA).

Asante Africa Foundation’s 2026–2030 Strategic Plan is built on a thoughtful, sustainable approach to growth. Rather than expanding as quickly as possible, we are scaling what works—deepening our impact in communities where strong partnerships and proven results already exist.

This deliberate strategy allows us to strengthen local systems, maximize long-term impact. Our goal is to reach and impact 250,000 rural youth across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, ensuring they have the skills, opportunities, and support to build brighter futures by 2030.

Asante Africa Foundation is recognized for delivering educated, resilient East African youth who can confidently address life’s challenges, thrive in the global economy, and catalyse positive change. Our youth enter the community capable of managing obstacles and opportunities as they arise. We tackle complex system-level challenges that girls, boys, and particularly underrepresented and rural youth face. Their interconnected educational, life skills, and livelihood programs, facilitated within "safe-space" learning groups, utilize a learn-do-teach methodology, keeping at-risk youth on the path to learning, accelerating academic classroom learning, and developing future leaders, confident job seekers, and innovative entrepreneurs.
