Relationship Manager, Institutional Banking

DCB Commercial Bank PLC is a fully-fledged retail and commercial bank in Tanzania. The bank offers banking services to Individuals, Microfinance, Small to Medium sized Businesses (MSME), as well as large corporate clients. DCB Bank has a wide branch network of over 8 branches, over 1000 DCB Wakala Agents, and over 280 Umoja switch ATMs serving over 3 million customers across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional and liability customers to support growth and profitability.

  • Cross-selling banking products and services to meet customer needs and maximize revenue.

  • Monitoring the growth and performance of the transactional banking portfolio and developing effective tracking tools.

  • Formulating and communicating business strategies to ensure clarity on performance, risks, and targets.

  • Identifying, assessing, and reporting risks arising from customer relationships and transactions to safeguard the bank’s interests.

  • Appraising opportunities for synergy across customer segments and maintaining documented customer visit reports and relationship insights.

  • Preparing sales documents, including proposals, agreements, and memos, to support timely closure of business deals.

  • Maintaining high service standards to retain existing clients and attract new business.

  • Gathering and analyzing monthly market data and competitor insights to recommend strategies for liability growth.

  • Acting as the primary contact point for institutional customers and coordinating service delivery with relevant internal teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from recognized university.

  • 3 years’ experience in Relationship Management or Institutional Banking.

  • Strong understanding of liability products, institutional banking solutions, and market trends.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business networks and customer relationships.

  • Strong analytical, sales, and negotiation skills.
