Position Summary

Securiport is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s network infrastructure. This critical role ensures that all network systems are optimized, secure, and fully operational, with a particular focus on supporting essential business needs, especially in the area of border control systems. The Senior Network Administrator will be instrumental in overseeing troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and strategic infrastructure improvements, all while maintaining strict compliance with security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for the following:

• Managing, configuring, and monitoring network hardware and software.
• Implementing and maintaining secure and efficient network architectures.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues promptly.
• Analyzing network performance and providing actionable optimization recommendations.
• Collaborating effectively with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies and recommending system enhancements.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to the network administration team and the NOC.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• nafasi za kaziA minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
• Expertise in network administration, including extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Proficiency in utilizing monitoring tools and network management software.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Fluency in both English and Kiswahili, spoken and written.

Added Advantage:

• Previous experience in the aviation industry.

Required Certifications

Applicants must possess at least one of the following certifications:

• Dell EMC Certified Professional Networking.
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher.
• Relevant certifications in firewall management, such as Palo Alto or Juniper.
• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.

Candidate Profile

This position demands a detail-oriented and proactive professional capable of ensuring that the organization’s network systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. Prior experience within the aviation industry is considered a significant advantage.
