Statutory Accountant

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a Statutory Accountant who will be responsible for supervising the end-to-end accounting process relating to tax and statutory compliance, ensuring all General Ledger transactions are accurately and timely recorded in the ERP system and reconciled within agreed timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and facilitate monthly tax and statutory returns.
• Conduct weekly ERP versus EFD reconciliations across regions.
• Ensure compliance with all tax, pension, insurance, and statutory obligations.
• Manage tax audits and statutory reviews.
• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory statements and returns.
• Act as the lead contact person on tax and statutory matters with external stakeholders including TRA and other statutory bodies.
• Maintain custodianship of fiscal devices and ensure EFD data integrity.
• Conduct tax health checks and compliance reviews.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reconciliations.
• Ensure tax implications of all company transactions are correctly accounted for.

• Support intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
• CPA(T) qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of branch/DC accounting and reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Palladium, SAP, or Navision.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Leadership ability and strong team-player mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
