Stock Accountant

STOCK ACCOUNTANT
INDUSTRY: OIL AND GAS
HR World Limited on behalf of our client we are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Stock Accountant to manage and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions within our client’s organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
• Monitor stock levels and reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including inventory reconciliations and journal entries.
• Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Work closely with purchasing and production teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
• Utilize accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) to record inventory transactions and generate reports.

• Collaborate with IT personnel to troubleshoot system issues and implement improvements.
• Identify inefficiencies in inventory management processes and recommend solutions to streamline operations.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS;

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 4 year of proven experience in inventory accounting or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and inventory costing methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
