Tax and Compliance Accountant

TAX AND COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTANT
INDUSTRY: OIL & GAS
HR World on behalf of our client we are looking for a Tax and Compliance Accountant responsible for all aspects of tax compliance and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Analyze key tax liabilities the company might face on monthly basis.
• Prepare quarterly/ yearly calculations, filing of corporate taxes and accounting for income taxes.
• Coordinate responses to all tax authority correspondences with respect to the company any other third parties.
• Respond timely to tax audits and investigations queries.
• Coordinate Transfer Pricing documentation and ensure proper methods on arm’s length justification.
• Ensure proper achieving of all tax related documents.
• Maintain high level of professionalism when dealing with regulatory bodies.
• Attend promptly tax issues to all vendors and customers.

• Ensure optimal utilisation of tax refunds (VAT and corporate taxes).
• Conduct necessary training to all departments and other stakeholders on updated tax issues.
• Ensure EFD reports are always reconciled with the Account books.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of Company’s imports with TANSAD records
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS;

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Tax /Finance/Law Economics
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Direct and Indirect tax compliance and reporting,experience from big Four will be added advantage
• CPA Added advantage
• Oil and gas industry experience
• Good Understanding of both Tanzania and Zanzibar legislation
