POSITION: ACCOUNTANT (1 POST)
LOCATION: Arusha Tanzania
JOB SUMMARY.
Preparation of asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Maintaining accurate and updated records of financial transactions.


Recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principles and financial reporting standards.


Advising and assisting management in the compilation and control of company budget.


Advising on improvement of financial management system and internal control system.


Analyzing, vouching, and verifying all retirements from the general staff Members and posts to the system.


Record keeping and arrangements for bookkeeping.


Assist in preparing and filing statutory returns.


Reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledgers.


Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor

 
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree majoring in accounting or its equivalent.
1-3 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Knowledge of Tax laws and regulations.
Knowledge in Computer Systems and Applications, mainly QuickBooks. Management Accounting or Financial Reporting is an added advantage.
