Introduction
Iringa Hope, an International Non-Governmental Organization, operates programs in the Northern highlands of Tanzania, specifically in the regions of Iringa and Njombe, with its headquarters in Iringa. Using a unique approach, Iringa Hope provides agricultural financing, marketing, and training to smallholder farmers in Tanzania. Our goal is to alleviate poverty and empower agricultural entrepreneurs. To further our mission, Iringa Hope is seeking applications from qualified individuals for different positions based in Iringa. Position: Accountant
Location: Iringa, Tanzania
Reporting to: Chief Finance Officer
Key Responsibilities
Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting
Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and analysis for management
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
Assist in the preparation of audits and donor reports
Provide financial insights to support business decisions in NGO, agribusiness, and microfinance operations
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting, preferably in NGO, agribusiness, or microfinance sectors
Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent organizational skills
