Accountant (Projects)
JITEGEMEEHOLDINGS COLD is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant (Projects) to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strategic financial planning, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Recording all financial transactions, managing ledgers, and maintaining accurate financial data.
Reporting: Preparing and publishing timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports on financial health.
Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
Taxation: Computing taxes, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
Auditing: Performing internal audits, examining financial documents for accuracy, and ensuring compliance.
Cash Flow & Budgets: Monitoring cash flow, preparing budgets, and managing income/expenditure.
Financial Analysis: Analysing financial data to help management make informed decisions.
Cost Management: Suggesting ways to reduce costs, improve profitability, and enhance revenue.
Financial Planning: Assisting with financial forecasting, risk analysis, and strategic planning.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing invoices, payments, and collections.
Payroll: Processing payroll and managing related tasks.
Software Management: Using accounting software (like QuickBooks, SAP) and potentially implementing new systems.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial policies, regulations, and standards.
Required Skills and Attributes:
Accuracy: A flair for spotting numerical errors.
Confidentiality: Protecting sensitive financial data.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certifications like CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is an added advantage.
At least 1 year of experience in accounts, finance, or similar tasks.
