JOB PURPOSE
To support and assist the Fixed Assets Manager in the implementation of IFRS 16 –Leases on recording the cost of newly-acquired Lease Assets, tracking existing leased assets, recording depreciation, interest accretion and disposition of leased assets. Also to perform similar accounting for other fixed assets

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Record leased assets acquisitions; update all new lease contracts in the lease sub-ledger; update any changes to lease terms on the existing lease contract.
Reconcile the balance in the leased assets subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger
Calculate depreciation, amortization interest accretion, and disposition for all leased assets
Investigate the potential obsolescence of existing leased assets and conduct periodic impairment reviews for leased assets
Follow up and work closely with procurement and contract management team to identify potential new lease on new contracts, follow up on the renewal of expired lease contracts, update and close terminated lease contracts
Prepare audit schedules relating to leased assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries
Perform Lease Assets internal controls, monthly semi-annual ad annual controls
Work closely with Account Payable team on matching the lease payment schedules and payment plan according to lease contracts and clear any variances in the lease clearing account,
Ensure all leased assets have valid contracts, and contracts are available for verification
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS&COMPETENCIES
Assign tag numbers to Other Fixed Assets when acquired and as needed
Capitalization, depreciation and dispositions of other fixed assets
Any other task as assigned by supervisor
Degree in Accounting or related field.
1+ Years of experience in Fixed Assets management or related field
Conversant with MS Office
Executor; Team Player; Works well under pressure
