Job Summary:
This position is crucial to smoothen the operations of East Africa Fruits Co. The position requires a high degree of integrity, professionalism, flexibility, and perseverance, as well as the ability to anticipate, identify and resolve accounting and related problems.
We are looking for a highly professional, enthusiastic, and energetic Accounts Receivable Officer to support the ongoing operation activities of East Africa Fruits Co. The Accounts Receivable Officer will be the main responsible person for managing all customer receivables in East Africa Fruits Co. Ltd. Furthermore she/he will be responsible for the reports related to receivables under the guidance of the Finance Manager and the Chief Finance Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
Keep aging accounts at an acceptable level
Perform account reconciliations
Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
Carry out billing, collection, payments allocation and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
Identify ways to complete work more efficiently
Assess results against goals and work within the team to make corrections as necessary
And any other duties as may be advised by supervisors
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor or Diploma in accounting or related field
An excellent written and oral command in Kiswahili and English
Knowledge of accounts receivable
Knowledge of general accounting principals
Proficient in relevant computer software
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
1-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
Working Conditions:
Working station is Dar es salaam – Tanzania
Accounts Receivable Officer will be required to work as per East Africa Fruits Co. Ltd working conditions in terms of working hours and days and when necessary, employee may be required to work beyond working hours
