Minjingu Mines & Fertilisers Ltd is the only Fertiliser manufacturer in Tanzania. It has its own formulations & Brands. Its is looking for Area Sales Manager for Southern and Northern Tanzania sell, distribute and promote its products in the respective areas. Candidates who are able to take up this challenge are encouraged to apply.Responsibility:To achieve sales of the various fertilizers being produced by company. Develop distribution setup through establishing cells depots and other channels of distribution. Ensure that the product available to the farmers easily in all the geographical areas covered.Duties:Develop a business plan in sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of a company sales goals and profitability.Develop database of a commercial farmers in the area, different crops cultivated, Wholesale and retail agro dealer network, cooperatives, etcSupervise the depots in terms of staff performance, stocks and cash collection and bankingMonitor pricing and cells in the market for competitive productsDevelop marketing strategies for achieving the sales targetsLiaise with local governments - Agriculture departments on our product availability and performance. Develop program for demos with them to educate farmersTimely management feedback and reports on all the activitiesControl costs and meet budgetary guidelinesKnowledge and experienceA bachelor or masters degree in business administration or related subjectA basic degree in agriculture science will be an added advantage5 to 10 years of experience in sales of fertilizers or agribusiness at a senior levelKnowledge of Tanzania geographically and agribusinessWillingness to travel extensively at least 25 days in a monthAbility to lead the team and good communication skillsSelf-driven person who is ready to achieve goals with minimum supervisionRemuneration:The remuneration package will consist of a mix of basic salary and sales-based performance bonus/commission.Apply within 15 days from the date of advertisement to:Minjingu Mines & Fertiliser LtdP.O Box 912, ArushaEmail: sales@minjingumines.com
